12 Days of Tuxmas: Day 12

You may have already noticed it. It's FOSS News website has a new look.

It is sleek and it matches with the main It's FOSS (itsfoss.com) website. The sidebar gives you access to the latest and featured posts on desktop.

I feel that it is snappier and faster than before. But I let you judge that.

Other than that, you'll notice some changes on itsfoss.com where I am trying to highlight more series of tutorials on a given topic.

Take this Hyprland series for example:

You'll see the tutorials that are part of the same series on the left side and the table of content on the right. You can see the next and previous part of the series on the bottom.

Basically, we have more than 2,000 tutorials. And my aim is to group them based on their central topic. This way, it will be easier for you to learn something in a more streamlined fashion.

The grouped articles should appear on the homepage. This is a work in progress and the work should complete by third week of January.

There is also a FOSSCast (podcast) in works and you should have the first episode in January.

There are also several small UI changes planned which will be implemented through out the year. I'll notify the significant ones in the newsletter. These changes will enhance your user experience.

This is the last day of Tuxmas. Holidays are over and the regular life begins. New year brings new energy, new hope, new motivation.

I am motivated to make It's FOSS even better with the informational content, design and videos. I hope all this effort helps you make a better, improved Linux user 💪🐧
